Salamander line.
Materials: marphil satin translucent porcelain, permanent china paints, elastic cords, natural leather, iron hooks and axis. White mohair. Elastic tulle, bride lace, handmade wire flowers, faceted crystals, metallic filigrees, glass beads, assorted embellishments, microgems.

PROCESSING TIME
The time I need to prepare an order varies.
Once the order is placed, a time frame in our schedule is reserved to make the doll.
We make several dolls at a time, due to the size of our kiln. The processing time once the process is started is 8-10 weeks for this doll due to the extension of the details included. This time frame is estimative, can be extended if anything fails during the firing, the porcelain is fragile during this step of the process and can suffer cracks or warping, in which case the pieces must be casted, cleaned and fired again. An estimated date of delivery is given at the moment of purchase.
As with all our dolls I dedicate to her many hours of intense hand work to create an original and totally unique object d'art that I hope will make you happy for many years to come.

This is an original artist doll, the molds was made by us, from our original dolls sculpts. No 3D technology of any kind were used to make this dolls, they are completely made by hand.
Original "CIRCE" details
Hi everyone! "CIRCE" was a doll from our new luxury line "Salamander", a delicate angel from a romantic era.
This new line is entirely painted with china paints (third fire porcelain pigments), technique that elevate our dolls to a new level. China paints are fused at a molecular level to the porcelain surface and it will never fade or peel, nor be affected by moisture or light, or can be scratched. It is completely impervious to elements.
We still will continue working also with the acrylic and lacquer finishing in a separated line, the same way we used to do it, so everyone who wish one of our dolls could have one.
CIRCE was the name of this doll, and I begun to make her in 2019. She is made with a special translucent porcelain, that is discontinued right now so I have very little of it in stock and it is impossible too get more again. It is softfired first at 600 C degrees and then after careful polishing, she was fired to maturity at 1260 C degrees. She can be casted in this marphil color or in white spanish porcelain, also translucent.
She has carefully detailed and delicate fingers, face features and ears.
The head was made and painted in 2019 but the body was finished recently this year.
All the pieces are painted with third fire pigments or china paints, that are special vitrifiable paints that are permanently bonded to the porcelain surface. China paints are translucent colors, that need to be applied in several thin layers to acchieve all the vibrance and deep of the colors, being fired between each layer at 750 C degrees. Some pieces, as the face, has more than ten china firings. The process gets significantly longer, because between the time thats takes to the kiln to raise temperature and to expect the kiln to cool down is necessary to wait at least a complete day.
Her wig is made with a super silky mohair that can be easily brushed.
She has a natural leather protection on each joint to allow a smooth rotation. It is assembled with steel hooks and elastic cords.
Includes her own custom stand and certificate.
